When you join our waitlist we collect your first name, email address, city, and (optionally) your primary health interest and the referral code of the person who referred you. We may also collect basic device and usage information automatically (e.g. IP address, browser type).

2. Why we collect it

We use this information to (a) confirm your place on the waitlist, (b) notify you about the launch in your city, (c) manage referrals and priority placement, and (d) improve our website and service.

3. Lawful basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form, and our legitimate interest in providing the service you requested.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the waitlist (e.g. hosting, email delivery), all bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

5. Storage and security

Your information is stored on secure infrastructure with row-level security policies, encryption in transit, and access controls. We retain waitlist data only as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above, or as required by law.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa). To exercise these rights, email hello@oryx.health.
